welcome home daddy

the past three weeks my dad has been in the Philippines.  it was a lot different not having him around all the time.  i had to help my mom with whatever she needed, like taking down the boxes with the xmas decor and pushing the car in and out of the garage because the car wouldnt stop.  normally, we'd just ask my dad to do things like this but this time around....i was the man of the house.

today we picked him up from the airport. we ate at his favorite pho place and they proceeded to go home because in about three hours, he has to go back to working grave yard shift.  the first thing my dad handed me as a gift from the PI was ENSAYMADA!

 soft squares of deliciousness! anyways, first week of "vacation" i still have a lot of work to do at work. have a good 4 day week!

subZERO festival 2010

subZERO last year was kinda wack for me. but this year was totally cool! went pretty late this year and got to see the night life and saw my picture that was taken last year at the street swag photo booth . we also caught the FingerBangerz close out the night with San Jose Taiko. it was an unexpected performance that was VERY cool. most of my pictures were from the performance. enjoy!

It is possible to miss someone you've never met?

Meet the newest member of the family, my nephew, Ethan James Pena Ocampo. Born May 19th, 2010 in Toronto, Canada. 8.45lbs and 21inches long.

Is it really possible to miss someone you've never met? YES it is.  I probably wont be able to meet this little guy til august.  I dont go to school but my work keeps me back.  I guess i can go there for a weekend... but i rather spend $700 on tickets to be there for a week. It's a trip knowing my brother has a son but I'm damn sure he will be a great dad. i wanted the baby to be a girl but now that i think about it, Ethan is now a 4th generation Ocampo. Keep the name alive. I love you little guy...we will meet soon.
