the past three weeks my dad has been in the Philippines. it was a lot different not having him around all the time. i had to help my mom with whatever she needed, like taking down the boxes with the xmas decor and pushing the car in and out of the garage because the car wouldnt stop. normally, we'd just ask my dad to do things like this but this time around....i was the man of the house.
today we picked him up from the airport. we ate at his favorite pho place and they proceeded to go home because in about three hours, he has to go back to working grave yard shift. the first thing my dad handed me as a gift from the PI was ENSAYMADA!
soft squares of deliciousness! anyways, first week of "vacation" i still have a lot of work to do at work. have a good 4 day week!
