the past three weeks my dad has been in the Philippines. it was a lot different not having him around all the time. i had to help my mom with whatever she needed, like taking down the boxes with the xmas decor and pushing the car in and out of the garage because the car wouldnt stop. normally, we'd just ask my dad to do things like this but this time around....i was the man of the house.

today we picked him up from the airport. we ate at his favorite pho place and they proceeded to go home because in about three hours, he has to go back to working grave yard shift. the first thing my dad handed me as a gift from the PI was ENSAYMADA!

last weekend, Sunday. Breezy Excursion had their warehouse grand opening, finally! a lot has changed there since they had first moved in. A lot of new art up, warehouse is for the most part fully organized, and they have actual desks now. WOOHOO!

anyways, BE and BK combined with the others at the Cannery park warehouses (clout, bgconcepts, etc) and iMiNUSD to throw one major event. BE had their first holiday sale where the line went down the drive way and iMiNUSD finally had their trick comp that was postponed a month eariler. Good thing they all got together this way because it was such a good vibe. pretty much the best of san jose all chillin together. too bad i had to leave early.

subZERO last year was kinda wack for me. but this year was totally cool! went pretty late this year and got to see the night life and saw my picture that was taken last year at the street swag photo booth . we also caught the FingerBangerz close out the night with San Jose Taiko. it was an unexpected performance that was VERY cool. most of my pictures were from the performance. enjoy!

im already totally failing at keeping up my blog arent i? but i think about it all the time. here we go with the start of summer.

we started with some San Francisco love. joe and i double dated with our favorite couple Nelle and Rob. we went to Golden Gate parking thinking we'd find the palace of fine arts but the stupid ranger pointed us in the wrong direction. she didnt even say that it WASNT there. so we wandered around a little. we found out that they closed the streets within golden gate park for the weekend. so it was filled with people running and biking all over the streets. was pretty freakin cool.

there was traffic EVERYWHERE but then we managed to find our way to the Palace of Fine Arts. woo hoo!

anyways, we ended our evening at the warf with clam chowder in our yummy tummies. let there be more chill sessions this summer. the end.

Meet the newest member of the family, my nephew, Ethan James Pena Ocampo. Born May 19th, 2010 in Toronto, Canada. 8.45lbs and 21inches long.

Is it really possible to miss someone you've never met? YES it is. I probably wont be able to meet this little guy til august. I dont go to school but my work keeps me back. I guess i can go there for a weekend... but i rather spend $700 on tickets to be there for a week. It's a trip knowing my brother has a son but I'm damn sure he will be a great dad. i wanted the baby to be a girl but now that i think about it, Ethan is now a 4th generation Ocampo. Keep the name alive. I love you little guy...we will meet soon.

pug life!

So saturday after work joe hits me up to meet at BG Concepts for a benefit bbq. im thinking okay its just a bbq in a warehouse no biggy right? WRONG. it was crack! i walked in with a gang of people outside kickin it, riding bikes, and just having a good time. i walk in the warehouse say whats up and someone gets on the mic talking about a hip replacement. im thinking okay, its for a human. Nope! it was for a sick ass pug name Turtle. (i liked him instantly with the name Turtle). Turtle just recently got a hip replacement because he was hit by a car. it was super expensive so they did this little fund raiser.

There were bands (philtered soul/trademark), dj (my own dj d!strakt), mc rey resurrection, bomb ass bbq that'll make you want to slap ure mama (steel house bbq), and vendors (cukui/humble beginnings/goodjoe/clout/etc.) Seriously it was legit. t-shirts with turtles face like on a dr.dre album. LEGIT. so many chill people wih dogs and kids running around. fixed riders and skateboarders doin tricks. i was impressed!

being in that warehouse was tight. art all over and screen tee machines right behind us i couldnt stop lookin around.

anyways...enjoy the pictures. i had a blast. thank you to ryan whom invited us and kept us in all good company.

ive been totally lazy and always lose the cord for my dslr to upload photos. i have a little for you all now though. enjoy!

a little while ago joe brought me to my first pro-roller hockey experience. it was his old team whom he hasnt been with for almost 2 years. i have to say i enjoyed it! watching all those guys on roller blades made me want to go back to my childhood of CALSKATE! haha. for joe, it was something else. it motivated him to dig out his old skates and equipment and get back in the rink. he did just that...entering in a off season tournament at the silver creek sports complex. i have to say i was quite impressed and with the stinky ass stench of his hands in those unwashed gloves, i was attracted to him that much more. lol. stinky boy! pictures are from the whole series of the tournament. most of not all is of joe. =)

oh yeah...and i got to see a fight! woot!

its about time i get good with God again. so much shit is happening i need to turn to something else to understand it all. Ash wednesday is in about an hour. for lent im giving up coffee, doubting those i should trust, and feeling sorry for myself. im leaning more towards things ill give up that'll make me a better person. thats what its suppose to be all about right? i mean id give up rice and meat but i dont eat that everyday and its hard enough giving it up on just fridays and in the end...it wont personally make me a better person.

This is a good point to have a new beginning. start fresh, start new. Spring brings new life and i tend to take advantage of it.

Side note: i finally found the cord for mt DSLR...so i can finally start posting pictures again. but ill do that when i have more time and when im not just avoiding my o-chem homework. good day to you all. good night. hopefully spring brings me a happier beginning.

- i got Windows 7, and kinda loving it.
- ive lost the cord for my dslr to upload pictures which is probably why i havent updated much of anything. im a little bummed. i ordered a new one but it got sent to my old apt so i have to figure that crap out.
- ive lived though the "San Jose is such a small fuckin world" but im loving how its end up to be
- chill life for the win. jazz, wine, you and tea is all i need to smile.
- organic chemistry will take over my life til the spring.
- i need a new roommate because my brohams is leaving.

New Years...started off very new. The shit that happened couldnt have had better timing. Although i should be sad, im happy. New year= new beginnings and im always up for something new. Few things ill be keeping in mind for 2010:

O Be apart of something bigger. All my life ive done things that are just kind of normal, everyday shit. I want to be apart of something bigger that can make an impact in someone else's life and to just feel the joy in that i can make that impression. Mission: to find something to be apart of.
O Stop sacrificing my own happiness for others. Although some people may not even realize it, i can at times be a push over. I tend to sacrifice my own happiness for others to be happy themselves. I may leave a conversation saying that everything is okay...but it may not be.
O project 365. i know people do these project 365 and post a picture everyday. i want to do one that is more tangible. My best friend Aileen and i have been trying to get crackin on this book/journal thing of ours. i think ill restart it with this...i take pictures, she writes.
O save money and make more of it. self explanatory. i really really need to start saving.
O Be healthy, eat healthy. go to the gym more of course. eat even more healthier than i have been. and cut down the crazy sweet tooth fat attacks i tend to have once a month. haha.
O forgive but never forget. Im not really one to hold grudges. I dont like confrontation and drama. I like to think I've avoided it a whole great deal. My thing is...i forgive the stupid shit that has happened between us but just know that I'll never forget it. I dont want to sound like im miss. innocent but for some reason i seem to encounter people who like to fuck me over. I dont waste my time being mad at someone...i think its wasted energy that can be put towards running or something.

I'm pretty sure ill think of a few more things. But these seem to be the most important that i really really want to keep up. 2009 was a good year. I met a lot of new people, love and lost, and seriously learned a lot about myself. 2010 is my year to apply what ive learned and hopefully be apart of something bigger that can make a greater impact than what ill ever be able to do by myself.

James & Erika's Wedding 11.25.09

for those of you who do not know my brother, James, he has had the longest relationship with our childhood friend, Erika. Our families have had a yearly summer trip for the past 10 years (?) Through the years they have fallin in love, obviously. haha. Their story is very unique and have been the epitome of a long distance relationship that works! My brother obviously being a West Coast Californian and Erika being an East Coast Canadian certainly has its challenges...but they have made it this far.

They decided to have a civil wedding first here in San Jose. The grand wedding will be in Canada in the Fall of 2011. Damn, im looking forward to that Bachelorette party. haha. Congratulations to my Kuya and welcome to the family Erika!

damn, we are going to be eating hella good today!

i am much thankful for the life i am leading today. all thanks to my family and friends. no matter how happy i look or how strong i seem to be holding myself each day...its because of you all i am able to. i am thankful to have a home to sleep in and a job to pay the bills. i wake up every morning thankful that i am awake.

thanksgiving is especially special today because my in-laws are here- my sister in law and her parents. they have officially been apart of the fams since yesterday! =) the ocampo family is getting bigger and bigger! wooot! haha.

my girls, my hookers, you guys especially let me love my life. im glad that we all kick it esp this long after high school (fuck the haters, haha). you guys are the comic relief in my life. im glad we can all keep each other in check and not have any drama. instead we appreciate being looked out after. i love you hookers. i dont know where id be without you all.

New Moon|Thurs 11.19

The beginning of the weekend started on Thursday. Got off work and headed to Janelle's house for dinner. =) She cooked us some bomb ass pasta. We were headed to the premiere of New Moon! it was then i realized...i had lost my tickets. well it wasnt lost, it was at bianca house and she wasnt home! total fail. good thing they still had my credit card on file to print out another ticket.

Mercado did very well getting everyone in the theater. They would sell tickets at different time intervals...let them in and choose before several theaters...then open up more theaters as they filled. Our friends took up a good 2 rows. it was maddness. a number of people were very drunk which isnt a good idea in a theater bc theyre so fuckin loud. The movie itself was good. i have to watch it again because i was so whipped over the fact jacob had his shirt off the whole time...and with a body like that, it was hard to pay attention. Also hard to pay attention when the drunkards are talking and yelling during the movie. haha. Overall, just a good night with friends.

Canlas 25th Anniversary

I was asked by one of my best friends Bianca to take pictures for her boyfriends, Neils, family. His parents are celebrating their 25th anniversary. and everyone knows me and weddings...i love them! I was excited because I've never really done families before. I thought it might be a good opportunity to learn. This is by far one of the sweetest families i have ever met. They were so easy to talk to and to work with. The only problem we had was the time of day. The sun was way too intense but we couldnt wait later on in the day because Neil had to be somewhere. I had to work with what was given i should say and make the best of it.

We ended up at the Japanese Garden in Hayward. Never been that far into Hayward before but the place was gorgeous. It was filled with little girls taking their quinceniera portraits haha. anyways, heres a couple of shots that i took of the Canlas family.

i cant wait for the wedding in december. should be fun!

i love living closer to downtown. i feel as if i have a lot more to grasp with the palm of my hands. theres a lot more to experience from a whole different point of view. although im not in the heart of downtown...im a lot closer then i was before.

lately ive been falling behind in my photo projects because of my speech class and because ive been having a little too much fun. thats going to change within this week. this past roll i finished was for an architecture assignment. naturally i thought of san francisco and all its beauty...but this time i thought id stay a little closer to home. ive always wanted to shoot city hall at night...but never found the time to. this was the perfect opportunity. i shot really fast because i was afraid to get mugged or something holding two cameras and a giant tripod but it was fun and something new for me to go out and do. heres a couple of pics from shooting city hall.

after i wanted to shoot the sjf guys ridin but i couldnt freakin find parking so i ws going to wonder around dt when my friend mike called me. havent talk to him in months and we happen to be like 2 blocks away from each other. he swooped me and we ended up at panera where i enjoyed a cookie...and hot chocolate! thanks mike.

i still have a shit ton of photo projects to do. and im still editing the Canlas family 25th anniv portraits. over all, today was a really productive day. im happy. time to get more work done...and ill update with pictures ive been depriving you all of from my lack of blogging. haha. good night, good monday.

Its a good way to look and live your life. I have honestly put myself in a lot of positions where i expect too much or i expect the out come to be amazing....and i tend to let myself down. The more and more i try to not give a fuck, the more i encounter people i really want to get to know...but i dont want to be disappointed by them. So i end up setting myself up for a disappointment. I dont know if im just encountering the wrong people or im making false conclusions of them and how they are in reality versus what they are showing me. Im tired of it. but im still in love with the thought of love. anyways, I have to keep doing me because ive gotten this far right? yeah...enjoy. live life and love it.

the rain is FINALLY here. im not too sad about it. i actually enjoy winter. except today i was woken up by the rain....literally! my window was leaking and getting my bed, clothes, and myself wet. total fail. i had to get ready for work fast and let my landlord know. was kinda funny...but hey i got it fixed.

contemplating a lot about my future lately...mostly with work. ive been taking pre-req classes for the dental hygiene program what seems like forever now and im finally ready to apply.

ive been slowly progressing over time at work..getting a license here and there which in turn ends in another raise. I passed my practical exam for my RDA in august and now its time to take the written part. then ill officially be an RDA. my goal however is to be one step higher. I can apply to 2 community colleges that have the DH program however its a bitch to get into. people average about 2 years needing to apply and get accepted. I have found an alternative school...Western Career College. It is the only vocational school that offers a DH program. The only thing that might be an issue would be the money. it is significantly more than if i go to a community college program BUT its only 16months long. cost more...but its shorter...and in the end i still have the same thing in my hand.

my family has been very supportive...even my dear boss lady. im scared of not being able to work. esp since i just got a new and more expensive apartment, im always afraid of putting too much on my parents. i love them to death and owe them my world but in the end of it all. ill be making significantly more money which in turn would pay off my loans (which i hope to be approved for). sacrifices will have to be made. and i have to decide my future in a matter of a week. we'll see what happens.

so these past couple of months I have been tested on my ability to handle all sorts of situations. i've surprised myself on how i reacted and how i had to handle it. if you put me in this position this time maybe 2 years ago, i would have been hysterical and probably borderline depressed. but since i've already been through that (haha), i know better then to blame myself. its not worth my time to think about what i could have done better. this time i analyzed the situation and pointed out a few things that this person is doing wrong to try and get what they want. reality check...it doesnt work on me. if you know me, ive always thought that it should be required by all working citizens to take an interpersonal communication class. they teach you how to deal with relationships (intimate and not) and teach you how to speak to get your point across. everything that was said in that class helps between loves, family, and work. its probably one of the most enlightening classes i have ever taken. and i am forever grateful for Professor Preston Ni and this class.

at my age and in my past relationships i've always been the person to rationalize the situation and work to keep it alive. looking back i have realized...i was working by myself. and this relationship seemed to be heading down the same path. this time i picked my battles but they wanted every battle to continue...and to win. theres a point in a relationship where you need to understand that the person does not have the ability to change. thats just how they are. and they are too selfish to even admit they are doing anything wrong. why waste your time right?

maybe ill be with someone who is thankful for what they have...when they have me.

im taking a photography class at foothill. im so glad i finally decided to take it. i never had time before because of all those damn science class....but since ive taken them all already! hahaha, im free to do whatever. im going back old school with a 35mm camera. nikon f60 (not THAT old school but you know 35mm seems ancient to some). i have concluded that film cameras are the way to go. our memories actually last forever in a negative. whereas a digital camera, more then half the people i know dont even bother printing out pictures. computers can crash and memories lost in a second. negatives can be stored for long periods of time and printed whenever you want.

the darkroom is a place where i feel at ease. i can be myself and not be judged. it gives me time and a place to think. finally i can be at school and be relaxed. photography has always been a love. but me being me, hobbies drift for a minute then come back. i think this one will be back for a while.

Easter.
When we were younger, Easter was a huge family event where all the some odd families would come together at a park and all the cousins would go crazy playing and searching for Easter eggs. Of course, that died down quickly. These past few years Easter was minimally celebrated either because my brother was still living in Canada or no one just bothered to make plans. Usually we'd go to church then have lunch then go home.

This year was a first year we decided to "celebrate". Instead of paying a ridiculous amount of money at a small brunch buffet, we decided to have a potluck at our house in gilroy. I have to say i was really excited. It was like one of our regular parties. Both sides of the family showed up and all my parents friends (of course). There was crazy amounts of food...and SWEETS!

The one thing that made me even more excited about this particular celebration was the two new babies we have in our family. Annika, my god daughter, from my oldest cousin on my dads side. And Giovanni, our little white boy, from my moms side. All the attention was on them. I really think theyre bringing the family closer together. There was no bitterness in the air. Spring, hopefully a start to a new beginning.

New York City|2009|Day 4,5,6

Day 4. Woke up earlier than usual because our tour bus pass was ending at 10am and we had one more loop to do- the uptown loop. We didn’t get of the bus at all because we wouldn’t be able to get back on. Haha. We saw a lot of mansions and high apt/condo’s where celebrities live. Saw where John Lennon lived and got assassinated- right across the street was central park and Strawberry fields. We finished that tour and we started using the Subway which would honestly scare the shit out of people but I’ve mastered the subway system in Spain I think I can manage New York. So that was fun. Went back towards the Upper East Side where we had breakfast at the Clinton Street Bakery. Best breakfast! My mom had banana walnut pancakes while I had a egg and beacon biscuit sandwich with tomato jam. Both amazing! Oh yeah, had the best $3 small ass glass of fresh squeezed orange juice id had in my life. We walked that off pretty well that day. I stopped by TrackStar bike shop- not very welcoming people but whatever still a nice shop. Then a few blocks away was The Reed Space and I LOVED their store. Guys were really friendly. Bought a sick Staple Shirt for my bestfriend (that actually I love but he’ll look better in it) and a 10Deep shirt for my boyfriend. Cool guys to talk to very nice boutique store. I loved most the books on the wall sitting on mini chairs- that was cute. We walked on towards Soho/Canal St. and actually shopped there. Kinda hectic this day because we caught rain. Canal Street is like china town all these little shops that sell knock off purses and such. Was great! Haha. Bought myself a pair of Chanel earrings. Ya boyyy! Went to Grand Central Station because we’ve never seen it before- beautiful piece of history right there. The architecture is amazing! Cool how all the train tracks were right under us and you never see it if you were just on the streets. Good for me there was a BMW car art show right inside the station- nice cars with nice art on it…that’s the best combination ever. We walked from there to our hotel because we got kinda lost. Haha. But ended up eating at this BBQ house that was pretty good so I’m glad we got lost. Stopped by Juniors to pick up a slice of Red Velvet cake- again the size of your head and ended my day on a sweet note.

Grand Central Station

Day 5 Thursday. Thought today would be a pretty chill day. WRONG. We walked up a storm! Went to Macy’s. NYC Macy’s = HEAVEN! It’s a whole block big and 9 stories high. 9 STORIES! You can get a tourist shopping pass that gives you 11% off of pretty much everything. Did a lot of shopping there. Few blocks away was B&H Video and Photography. Of course I had to stop by and see what that place was like. That place was astonishing…yes I said astonishing. Their photography section is wall to wall of cameras, lenses, accessories. Then you purchase it, they order it from the back, and the come to the teller in a box, on a roller. I don’t know how else to explain it. To pay for it you go downstairs and stand in line. Then they send you to a separate line where they receive your box of stuff and they bag it and give it to you. It was like a factory assembly line in there. I bought a 50mm lens…finally. We walked back to our hotel to dropped off all of our bags. On the way we stopped by White Castle to eat mini burgers of goodness. Headed out again towards Lower West side. My mom wanted to go to Sac’s to buy a purse and so I left the Subway routes up to her since I thought she knew where she wanted to go. We ended up back by Bloomingdales…a good 13 blocks away. Our feet hurt but we didn’t want to pay for subway fare again so we walked it. If she didn’t buy her lovely LV purse I would have been pissed haha. From there we walked to Seredipity and she enjoyed a Fruite Crepe and I had the infamous Frozzzen Hot Chocolate. That was good. Took the subway back to our hotel. Got ready and went less then a block away to the Minskoff Theater to watch…THE LION KING! Really good Broadway shdw! Costumes and back drops are way better then anything I have ever seen. If you get a change to watch it…do it! Didn’t have dinner this night because I think we were just tired. A Broadway show was a good way to end our trip to NYC.

Friday- before we left. Went and had breakfast at Juniors. Then our shuttle picked us up and brought us back to JFK. By this time I was so happy to be going home. As beautiful it is to be in another state, I love California! I love the weather, I love the life style and I even love the people. I’m serious. True New Yorkers always seem to rushed and stressed out its sad to watch. I can never live like that. I’m sure not all NYorkers are like that but a few that I’ve seen and heard talk I just want to tell them to relax. We had this one guy behind us in the security line at the airport who was seriously pissed that there was only 1 line open because of shift changes, He was seriously getting pissed off and saying like he never has to stand in line, He kept asking every worker hat passed him by why other lines weren’t open. He was complining and saying “Time is Money, I have some where to be!” I’m pretty damn sure his flight wasn’t leaving yet and seriously we’re at an airport…we ALL have somewhere to be! Then when they opened another line, he got out of our line and walked around quickly…when if he just waited like 2 seconds they opened the ropes in front of us and we still ended up in front of him in line…haha, sucker!

New York City|2009|Day 3

Day 3.
Went back on this Hop On Hop Off tour, this time we took the Downtown Loop again but got off the last half. This loop took us around Wall Street then towards the water- Pier 17 where we took our free water taxi ride. The water taxi took us around Ellis Island, the Statue of Liberty, and under the Brooklyn Bridge. GORGEOUS! Was the perfect day to be in the water. When we got back we hopped on a bus that would take us around to the Brooklyn Loop- which yeah, took us around Brooklyn. We didn’t get off at any stops because we didn’t really know where we wanted to go there. It was a good change of scenery for a little. Was suppose to go to KingKog bike shop there but I didn’t have a computer to look up where it was so we didn’t get down. We actually did get down under the Brooklyn Bridge (Old Fulton St) where this pizza shop- Grimaldi’s pizzeria- was. Best New York pizza I’ve had. You choose a size and pay per topping. All the ingredients were fresh and you can taste the difference. We actually finished a whole pizza to ourselves. Haha. We walked out sort of under the bridge and there was a Brooklyn Ice Cream shop. Got some ice cream while waiting for our bus to come again. Bus took us back over the Brooklyn Bridge into Manhattan then we took the Downtown loop again towards Madison Ave. We got off at the South end of central park and walked around there. Smells like shit on that end because of the horses but who cares- those horses make me laugh. Went to the glass cube Mac store to use their computer/interwebs. We actually walked all the way back to our hotel from there. Stopped at Carnigie Deli on the way home. My mom ordered a sandwich has big as my hand...seriously. She only ate half. I had deep fried french toast aka a delicious heart attack. YUM! Walked around time square to enjoy the lights then ended our night there.

New York City|2009|Day 2

DAY2
The next morning we went and got our 48hour hop on hop off tour bus. Its one of those double decker bright red buses filled with tourist who take pictures of anything and everything around them- yup, that was us for 48 hours. Our first tour was the Downtown Loop that took us around Chinatown, SoHo district, Madison Square Garden, Flat Iron Building, Lower East side, and would you like me to continue? We didn’t stay on that bus long because once we got to the SoHo stop, we got off and got an idea about what our shopping experience would be like. SoHo is known for their little boutique shops that really, you pay the price for. There are a lot of unique stores however, very expensive- by all means if you have the money…go ahead! We got back on our bus that actually stopped by there every 20mins and proceeded towards China town. We got off around there and looked for Katz Deli. Katz is a MUST if in Manhattan. If you appreciate good quality meat and sandwiches…oh my god! Is all I have to say. You walk in and see a whole row of about 7 “slicers” they call them. Each slicer is their own person so they have their own lines. Our slicer knew we were first timers so he let us try the meat. I ordered half corn beef and half pastrami sandwiches. He pulled out these slabs of pastrami and corned beef from the oven type thing from behind him and sliced them right in front of me. I swear I could just eat all the meat by itself. Pastrami was to die for! We got back on our bus a few blocks away back by Soho and ended up by Rockafeller Center where we found one of the Magnolia Bakery branches. We walked out of there with 6 cupcakes (don’t ask why- theres only 2 of us and my mom ordered 6; oh yeah, i still think Kara's cupcakes are better) and one of the best cups of hot chocolate I’ve had. Oh I forgot to mention from the beginning, it was FREEZING. Weather wasn’t that bad but its like San Francisco weather over the winter- cold and windy. We went back to our hotel to relax a little and enjoy our cupcakes and ended up eating a small dinner at Junior’s restaurant less than a block away. Small dinner but a BIG dessert- a Strawberry Shortcake Cheesecake the size of your face- actually probably my face now with all this eating I did over the week. Hah. That ended our Day 2. Notice: i talk a lot about food. i take pictures of a lot of food. I love food.

New York City|2009|Day 1

Thats what Christian told me to do while in New York..and its exactly what i did. My mom and I decided to take a little mother daughter trip since my brother wasn’t able to take the time off and our spring breaks did not align. Ive been looking forward to this trip for a while because we’ve been to NYC numerous times however never really got to see everything worth seeing. We weren't able to get internet at the hotel because it was down or something..so ill be posting up the blogs separately so i dont just post one big ass long one. enjoy!

DAY1
We left SFO Saturday night, a red eye flight. Arrived at JFK Sunday morning about 7am eastern time. My uncle from New Jersey picked us up and brought us back to his place. The two guys of our OG summer family came out to have breakfast with us. We ate at this really high end Filipino restaurant that actually cooked us breakfast like we would normally do at home- garlic fried rice, tocino, longonica, tapas, and some fish. Haha. However probably expensive, it was good. We hung out at the house for a while then proceeded to go to Woodbury Common Outlets in New York- about an hour away from New Jersey. It’s the same company as our Gilroy outlets however, HEAVEN for the ultimate shopper. They had shops like Doir, Chanel, Gucci, Lacoste, Jimmy Choo, Prada, etc. Pretty much any high end fashion was there….and I was in heaven. Although I didn’t buy much because really it was my first day and I wasn’t going to use up all my money there. I ended up going back home with $30 worth of half off clothes from FCUK. We ate some Chinese food, said bye to the guys, and my uncle bought us to our hotel in NYC.

Our hotel, the Milford Plaza, was in the heart of Broadway literally right next to all the main theaters and about a block away from Time Square. Nice little cozy 2 twin bed room. Across the street were so many places to eat, little shopping, and even a Junior’s restaurant. Juniors was based in Brooklyn and has one of the best cheesecakes ever. We were dead tired, so we unpacked, and ended our day there.

Las Vegas 2009

So, first homie trip of the year. Went to Vegas for Bianca's 21st
birthday and Abbys 22nd birthday. It cracked...HARD. rollin 32
heads deep!

All got there Thursday the 22nd. Larissa, Ash, Kristine, Bia and i
were on the same flight from SFO. that was cool. Got to our beautiful
suites in the Venetian. First night was spent at Tao in the Venetian. Nice
place but i want to go back when the very top pool area is open.

Friday morning...one of the first to get ready. Left the room while
everyone was gettin ready and just walked around to the new hotels
around us. Also went to MGM to have lunch w my parents bc they
happen to be there the same weekend. walked the strip rollin 32+
deep. went back to venetian to get ready for a night out. damn,
took everyone like 3 hours to get ready. the boys couldnt even shower
cause the girls took up all the bathrooms. haha. anyways, we all met
up at the Rio to go to their buffet then went across the street to
The Palms to hit up all the clubs in there. started at Rain, it was
aiight, just wasnt feelin the music so we went to Moon. That place
was packed but hella crackin! stopped by the Playboy lounge for a min
then headed back to Venetian. LOVED moon!

Saturday...first to get ready again. Went to the Wynn to play a bit.
won $40 then walked away. haha. met up w the homies and walked the
strip some more. Our night ended at Jet in the Mirage. Gorgeous place.
loved the club. people left early cause their feet were hurting. you
beezies! see what high heels do to you...ruins ure fun! Lots of
stories came out of that club. lol. left hella late and went to hit
up Prive at Planet Hollywood for the last few hours. walked allllll
the way to Venetian. changed and had cheap breakfast. larissa and i
had to go back..by this time it was sunday morning. got ready and
went to the airport for out 1130am flight. Oh, how i miss Vegas.

so kinda a surprise ive been holding back
from some of my closest friends and some
new friends ive been chillin w/ is my new
bike CRUSH. its a fixed Mercier Kilo TT.
im in love. ive been waiting for it this
whole week.

Yesterday 24th. i went to work. went to class.
then drove myself straight to gilroy at
around 430pm where i thought my bike
would be waiting for me already. low
and behold, it wasnt. im sitting there
sad while my bro and dad make fun of me.
my bro, who happens to work for UPS says
either its missed routed or it'll get here
by like 730. UGH! so im waiting and waiting.
door bell rings and TADAAAA! 7pm. i was about
to hug the UPS man. right then and there
i start to work in it on my own.

im really glad i got to do it...and
succeeded. so heres the outcome....

i love my homies. oh my dad. this weekend
was freakin great.

Thursday night i planned a girls night
out at Sabor. It was tins actual birthday
and dude..it was hella crackin! We
pregamed at tin's house..she was already
yacking before we left for the club. Got
into Sabor took a few more shots and Tin
was already in the bathroom yacking. Tin
got kicked out like an hour into the night
because she was fucked! hah. everyone
stayed back while she crashed at home.

of crunk of the night. haha! by the end
of the night, stelle was pretty faded too.

n Busters where Tin and Stelle got a party
room for their birthday. was pretty damn
crackin. shots left n right! Rob the dj was
on hit with all his music! over all, chillin
with the homies was much needed.

Saturday. worked the whole day even though
theyre suppose to be half days! twas cool
though. cousin ron had a house party for
his bday! happy birthday cousin!

so lately ive been chillin with SJFixed a lot! (thanks to
my bestest friend jp) and they have been wildly
entertaining! they do everything! chill, drink, play
dodgeball (whaa??), cook, and just fuck around with
each other. its all good company and good vibes. and
i fuckin love it. havent been in this type of environment
for a while...which is pretty disappointing. i cant wait
til i get a fuckin bike and ride with these guys! so excited!

anyways things that have happened.
tuesday|veterans day lots of SJFers had the day off
while i was stuck at work. They played dodgeball.
met up at jps house fora bbq. was on the grill in my
scrubs. lol. met lots of new people which is always fun!
left to go to take my midterm while everybody else
went to the sharks game FTL. =(

thursday. met up with everyone on my side of town.
lol...yes, sunnyvale. we went to a bar/pub thing called
st.johns to watch the sharks game (FTW) and the
warriors (FTL). more fun times and convos. jp reggie
and jesus went to my place so i can cook dinner. jp slid
down the stairway to the second floor at my apt complex.
he was going way to fast so tried to stop himself with his
hands. which resulted in a burn due to friction. lol. he then
hit the end pole with his hip that resulted in a loud thud!
he tumbled off and rolled to the floor...lauging. wish i
could have recorded it. after that epic-ness... we went to
mercado to watch 007...which was aiight. the chasing
scenes were fuckin cool. all in all, a goodnight.

friday. (yesterday) i went to work. went home to
clean and sleep. was ready to go out and play! went to
the cellar to watch Case in Theory play. good job
jonathan, benjake, and jamin. theyre fuckin hella good.
i was so surprised. and a good amount of people came
out! im sure they were excited about that. few of us
headed over to Temple to dance n what not for a min.
it was aiight. wasnt as crackin as last time. after party
at Jamins place. HELLA funny. everyone trying to renegade
their beers! my face was hurting from laughing at
everything and everyone! pics are freakin epic.

today. probably bake cookies and chill at bestfriends
place. then i gotta dinner for my cousin Arnels bday!
happpy birthday cousin! then back to jps where SJF
will be chilllin. oh how i love life. more here

life of gorgeous. i dont think i cant say it enough.
even though school and work takes up a lot of
my time, i never forget to having a little fun once
in a while. where ever i go i try to take my camera
around. im trying to master the Manual setting.
its hard, but im getting there. Also, i just upgraded
to LightRoom 2 from 1.4...for FREE. i love the
interwebs. and my brother who finds it for me lol.
When i get time i usually try and edit pictures.
And usually its during my Anatomy lecture. lol.

another chill weekend to celebrate on this good
monday. saturday, went to work and then the
city to chill with my boys. it was steves grad
and jae's 22nd birthday. headed back to sj to
meet up with jp and elwin to hit up halley's
house party. was so chill! met lots of new and
interesting people. lol.

i got caught by halley.

rest of the weekend was chill. went to go condo
hunting. and found a nice spot..made an offer.
hopefully we get it and move in end of nov/begin
of december. jenyo is excited much to decorate.

did i mention i believe im on a whole new level
with myself? if that makes sense? ill explain
later. but it came to me when i got home sat
night. i love my life. til next time...

exciting couple of weekends

SAT Oct 18th
worked as usual. jp picked me up and we headed to Oakland to
watch a free show. twas a youth speak event with live graff. Mos
Def, Goapele, and ill-literacy performed. Goapele is gorgeous and
performs amazingly!

then we stopped by jps bros house to chill a min. this is huey, hes
and a baby and hes moving. and will be missed.

headed back to sj. i went home to gilroy to chill with my family
from stockton. drank and i passed out early.

this is gunner. i think he smelled huey on me.

TUES Oct 28th
jp invited me to chill with SJFixed. finally got to meet what ive heard
so much about. hella cool as environment and cool ass people. i now really
wish i rode. lol.

WED Oct 29th.
chilled with SJFixed again. went to an "art show" but ate their food.
5 bikes, 1 pole.

THURS Oct 23rd
had a long ass 11hr day w. 30mins lunch at work. had a crazy
whim to go out. which im glad i did cause i think it was much
deserved! went to Sabor for my first time. chilled with azuki
crew and ran into some of my girls. plove n i went back to
azuki to mix up a BOTTLE of LC. jp yacked n passed out
in the club. elwin and i yacked on the same pole but felt
delicious after. kay got left out. over all, a GOOD ass night!

losing weight means i can fit a bottle of LC in my pants
to get in the club!

chilled at the gilroy home for a min last night
because my future sister in law left this morning.
i was greeted by a pirate. no, im not kidding.

everyone went to sleep. so i stared
at my bros salt water fish tank.
the clown fish-my bro has yet to
name it cause he doesnt want to call
it nemo- and beacon the shrimp kept
me company.

damn, i miss blogging. im going to keep
it a little different this time though folks.
what can i say...this summer really changed
me... and im loving it!
